From this unique resort, you will enjoy many tours of land tours such as volcanoes, waterfalls, horseback riding, golf, canopy, and bird watching, just 2 hours from the resort. If you are looking for some adventure in the sea, a fishing charter is a nice option. We offer inshore and deep sea fishing charters from Andaz Papagayo, or our family fishing & BBQ tour.

We will bring our boat in front of the Andaz Papagayo Resort and use a dingy for beach pick up.

Andaz Papagayo Fishing Trips

If you are looking for big game fishing, we recommend booking a full day (8hrs) fishing trip or at least 6 hours to fish for blue marlin, pacific sailfish, bull Mahi Mahi, and yellowfin tuna.

Roosterfish fishing in Costa Rica

If you just want to do some inshore fishing, we recommend booking a half-fishing trip looking for red snapper, amberjack, grouper, dorado, mackerel, and the most appreciate roosterfish.

Additional Fishing information

  • All fishing charter departs at 7:30 AM, but we can do it earlier under the client’s request!
  • Full day:  8 hours (7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
  • 3/4 day:  6 hours (7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
  • Half day:  4 hours (7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)
  • Rates per boat and not per person.
  • Check the # of people per boat on the boat info.

When to book?
Book as soon as possible to guarantee availability, especially during the holidays seasons!

Charters include: Ballyhoo or live bait when possible, fishing equipment, snacks, bottled water, ice bags, fresh fruits, soft drinks, local beer, juice, Catch cleaning & filleting, and lunch on full-day charters.
